Birth 20th November, 1899
Education & Degree Educated from Mufidul-Anam School, founded by Raja Bansilal and his family. Matriculated from the City High School, entered Aligarh University. Joined Osmania University in 1923, took his B.A., and later went to London University for LL.B (Honors). D. Litt.
Highlights of Career - Associated with Osmania Graduates Association, Exhibition Society, and the Economic Committee.
- President of the Society of Union and Progress for 17 years.
- In 1929, prepared a scheme to settle Hindu-Muslim differences under Sri S. Srinivas Iyangar's guidance.
- Elected Vice-President of the Indian National Congress session held in Hyderabad in 1948.
- In 1952, elected to the Senate of Osmania University, and also a member of the Senates of Aligarh University, Jamia Millia, and Jawaharlal Nehru University. Founded a Polytechnic in Hyderabad in 1957.
- Member of the U.N.O. delegation led by Shri Krishna Menon.
- Went on a goodwill mission to China under Sri Anantasayanam Iyangar, and later visited Moscow, Finland, and several countries in Asia and Africa.
- Served for 18 years as a member of the Rajya Sabha and was the Hon. Chairman for 12 years.
- Elected Deputy Leader of the Congress Parliamentary Party.
- Major contribution in strengthening Hindu-Muslim unity.
